Start With The Cost Question That Actually Matters
Freshchat has four plans, and the number you see first depends on a toggle rather than on what you intend to buy. Load the pricing page and the Annually option is already selected, so Growth reads $19. Switch to Monthly and the same plan reads $23.
Disclosure: Stack99 earns a commission if you buy through links on this page. It costs you nothing extra and never changes our assessment.

Per agent, that gap is small. Across a team it compounds, and the annual commitment is the part people forget they agreed to.

| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Up to 10 agents. Chat widget for web and mobile, shared inbox, email, roles and permissions. |
| Growth | $23/mo | Per agent, billed monthly. Drops to $19 per agent on annual billing. Adds the Freddy AI Agent, social messengers, text messaging, reporting and dashboards. |
| Pro | $59/mo | Per agent, billed monthly. Drops to $49 on annual billing. Adds multilingual conversations, custom dashboards, intelligent routing, multiple SLA policies. |
| Enterprise | $95/mo | Per agent, billed monthly. Drops to $79 on annual billing. Adds skill-based routing, audit logs, JWT authentication, allowed domains and IP whitelisting. |
What Buyers Need To Verify First
Check the annual discount arithmetic, because the badge and the figures do not quite agree. The page advertises “SAVE 20%”. Growth moves from $23 to $19, which is 17.4%. Pro moves from $59 to $49, a saving of 16.9%. Enterprise moves from $95 to $79, which is 16.8%.
None of those reaches 20%. The discount is real and worth taking if you were committing anyway, just not by as much as the badge suggests. On a ten-agent Pro team the annual commitment saves $1,200 a year against monthly billing, which is the number to weigh rather than the percentage.

Verify the agent count too. The free plan stops at ten agents, and every paid plan is priced per agent, so your bill moves with headcount rather than with conversation volume.
Where Overspending Usually Happens
The plan price is not the whole invoice. Freshchat publishes a set of add-ons that attach per plan, and they are where budgets drift:
- Freddy AI Agent. Included from Growth upward, with the first 500 sessions free and $49 per 100 sessions after that. A busy deflection bot can outgrow the seat cost.
- Copilot, sold separately. Freddy AI Copilot is $29 per agent per month on annual billing, $35 per agent per month if you pay monthly. On a ten-agent Pro team that is a further $350 a month at the monthly rate.
- Day passes. $2 on Growth, $7 on Pro, $12 on Enterprise. These cover occasional agents without buying a full seat, and they are genuinely useful for seasonal support.
- Connector app tasks. $80 per 5,000 tasks, the same on every paid plan.
- Contacts. $100 a month per 5,000 contacts.
- Freshcaller. Voice is a separate add-on starting at $15, $39 or $69 per agent per month depending on plan. Note that this row sits inside the feature comparison table rather than on the plan cards, which makes it easy to miss when you are budgeting.
Price a ten-agent Pro team properly. Seats at $59 monthly come to $590. Add Copilot at $35 each and you are at $940 a month before any AI Agent sessions beyond the first 500. The seat price was 63% of the bill.

A Better Way To Compare Cost
Compare on cost per agent per year at the commitment you will actually sign, with the add-ons you will actually enable. Three worked figures:
- Growth, five agents, annual: $19 x 5 x 12 = $1,140 a year.
- Pro, ten agents, annual: $49 x 10 x 12 = $5,880 a year. The same team monthly costs $7,080, a difference of $1,200.
- Pro, ten agents, annual, with Copilot at $29: $9,360 a year.
Then add the AI Agent sessions. At $49 per 100 sessions past the first 500, a bot handling 2,000 sessions a month costs $735 a month, or $8,820 a year. For a high-deflection deployment the AI line can exceed every seat you bought.
How To Judge Plan Fit
Free is a real plan rather than a trial, capped at ten agents. Chat widget, shared inbox, email and roles are all included, which covers a small team that only needs live chat.
Growth at $23 is the first plan with the AI agent, social messaging channels and text messaging. Pick it when conversations arrive from somewhere other than your website.
Pro at $59 brings routing and SLAs. Multilingual conversations, intelligent routing, multiple SLA policies and custom dashboards are team-management features, so the trigger for this tier is team size rather than feature envy.
Enterprise at $95 is a security and governance tier. Audit logs, JWT authentication, allowed domains and IP whitelisting are the kind of things a procurement questionnaire asks about. Skill-based routing comes with it.
Billing And Budget Perspective
Freshchat sits inside the wider Freshworks customer service line, and the pricing page carries a product switcher between IT service, Customer service and CRM. Confirm you are reading the Freshchat column rather than a sibling product, because the switcher changes the whole table without changing the page.
Freshworks states that more than 74,000 businesses use its products, and the pricing page lists Carrefour, RingCentral, McLaren, NHS Health Education England, TaylorMade, Texas A&M University and Databricks as customers. Those are vendor claims that we have repeated as such and not independently verified.

Verdict
The pricing is transparent, which is rarer than it should be in this category. Every tier has a published number, the add-ons are itemised, and the free plan is usable rather than decorative.
Two cautions. The page defaults to annual pricing, so budget against $23, $59 and $95 unless you have decided to commit. And the AI line items are the real variable: on a deflection-heavy deployment, Freddy sessions can cost more than the seats.
